14A - Halfway Reflection

1) What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?
I have developed the behavior of creating a schedule and sticking to it, as the assignments in this course are very strict on due dates and times, and they vary very much from the rest of my courses that I'm currently taking right now. I am always checking canvas to make sure of this as well.

2) Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?
I thought about once or twice to just not complete assignments if I felt like I couldn't finish them in time. What pulled me through is knowing the information and understanding I will get from completing the assignments. It is also easier to complete further assignments when you've completed past ones. I have definitely developed tenacity over the past couple months, but this isn't only in this course but others as well.

3) Three tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the 'tenacious mindset' ?

  1. Always checking Canvas and reminding yourself why you're enrolled in class in the first place, very much helps you foster the skills you need to stay on track.
  2. Try to make the assignments fun for yourself by placing importance on the information you're learning.
  3. Maybe you wish to be an entrepreneur, maybe you don't, but you will never be in the class again and never to complete these same activities again, so make the most of the opportunities you acquire just from being enrolled in the course.

  1. Hi, Julia great job on your Halfway Reflection. You were very personal in both your accounts and organization of your word, which from a reader's point of view, made it more intimate. For instance, the GIF you attached was humorous, therefore making your positions more understandable. Your advice was also very beneficial and direct. If I were taking this course semester, I would definitely rely on your tips.

  2. Hello Julia,
I think your halfway reflection was great and while it was similar to mine in some ways you also brought up other points that I liked. I think you did great bringing up how you have been able to become more tenacious through not only this course but others that you are enrolled in as well. Also, I think your tips are great and would help a student taking this course in the future for sure.
